FAB10, the 10th International Fab Lab Conference took place on July 2nd to 8th 2014 at DHub Building, in Barcelona. This event featured workshops, talks, and numerous activities all focused on the applications and implications of digital fabrication in the urban context, for the development of new city models, hence it’s motto “From Fab Labs to Fab Cities”.
Fab Lab Conferences are the annual meeting of Fab Labs, gathering participants connected to the Fab Lab network and people interested in digital manufacturing as well as associated institutions. During this 10th edition Fab10 gathered more than 700 attendees from 50+ countries and had over 4000 visitors throughout the whole week, who visited and participated in several activities.

Fab Festival opened its doors over the weekend to all the citizens of the world with 10+ panel talks, 50+ short talks, 60+ workshops, 100+ demos.
Fab Symposium, focusing on rethinking the role of technology, policy and society in the development of Self-Sufficiency strategies for productive cities marked the beginning of Barcelona’s Fab City Pledge to become the first self-sufficient city on the planet.
The Endesa World Fab Condenser in collaboration with Endesa & the Fab Car in collaboration with OS Vehicle and Hewlett Packard were made during the Fab10 with the work of many committed individuals, institutions & companies.
Fab Textiles Show, a selection of young and skillful creators that combined fashion design, technology and wearables.
Global Fab Awards, in partnership with the World Bank, USAID, Fab Foundation, AutoDesk & Intel. The awards in numbers: 414 votes from 30 countries, 7,178 pageviews of fab10.org/awards, 130+ project submissions and 8,64277 GB of source files.
Fab Kids, a digital fabrication workshop for teens between 12 and 17 years old, received more than 50 participants.
